Default Forged internals????

I'm not going to say who, but someone told me that 1g and 2g has some forged internal parts. i wanted to know if in a 1g and 2g motor are any of the internal parts forged like the evo motor?

If it had the same internal parts why would the 2g have a higher compression? This question could be easily solved by doing some searching on the net cause there are various different right answers to this question. Plus you might want to go look at the definition of forged.

People put 2g pistons on 1g rods to raise the compression of their 1g engines to 2g spec 8.5:1. It's not cost effective these days because aftermarket forged pistons can be had for around 400 and the machine work done to the rods plus the cost of the 2g pistons is about that much.

Question answered, thread done.
