well today I was driving down the road and this sound stared and gradually got worse, it was like a broken belt going round and round a ticking type sound and so I've been looking in to it and it's coming from the motor, not a belt or as I thought maybe the timing belt cover this sucks and I dunno what 2 do o yes, the car is also turbo if that will effect anything...which it shouldn't really

You neglected to mention the SHITLOAD of metal shavings that came out of you oil pump pickup and the oil filter.

 

Yea I know bout those but that was like 3 months ago...you would think something would have happened before now, o and it's not the lifters, I already checked those

 

metal shaving in oil....spun bearing?

 

You know you do a good job when you see that gold sparkle in the oil pan.

something glogging the oil passages, bad oil pump, not enough oil pressure
