Default 97 Eclipse GS?

Hey guys....Im looking at getting a 97 GS with roughly 130,000 miles on it. Any input on whether I should go with it or not. This would be my first 2G, but 4th Eclipse over all. I have many mods in mind already, but wondering if the 130,000 miles are gonna stand up or is that number a little high? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks TR.

Awesome. How much is the asking price? I have an RS and im getting tired of it and eventually you will get tired of driving a GS while envying GST's and GSX's. Consider getting maybe a GST. I am

Id definetely look into getting a GST or GSX but if your mind is set on the GS then just go through your normal car buying procedures. Compression test, ask for receipts of work that is done, etc. Id rather own a car with 130,000 miles on it that was taken care of than a car that had 60,000 miles and was beat to shit.

If you have intent on modding, you will be much happier with a GST or GSX.

What are you asking? Auto or 5 spd? And I know Id be happier with a GST or GSX, but soon enough, with all luck, money will be no issue. So I can get another one. My plan is to have a FWD and AWD in the garage, with a total of about 1,000 horsepower. Just 2 little toys to go out and play with, but still get good gas mileage seeing that I drive from NPR to Pinellas Park every day of the week. And it wouldnt be such a bad thing to have a non-turbo, non-N2O, DSM that can tear up the streets with DSM turbos. Just as long as I can keep them off the jack stands.

Hmm i would say go for it....if it still runs like a champ good compression all around....and nothing wrong with the body...and for tearing up the streets...you would need to go turbo on the 420a....unless 15+ seconds is good enough for ya.
