Which T/E/L models got the big brakes, AWD or all turbos? What other cars from Mitsu came with them?

 

I think it was an option on the 93-94s. I also think Ive read somewhere that the Diamante brakes work as well. Ive never really done too much research on the subject but thats whay Ive heard. Someone else should have some better info...

 

i read somewhere on a Brakes site that the 95 gsx had a diff kind of brake set up than the rest. cant find the same site again though.

 

The 2g brake setup is different then the 1g brake setups. You can't take brakes off of a 2g and have them bolt up to a 1g. Wilwood does make an awesome bolt up upgrade for 2g's though. The 1g big brakes are all interchangable though. I am currently working on making a full brake kit from wilwood parts since they don't make a bolt on brake kit for 1g's like they do 2g's. I want something alot lighter then the Gvr4 brakes.

 

Well the brakes I have are off of a Diamante, and the non-turbo 3/S cars had them too. I was just curious if any other cars came with them and if they were only availible on certain T/E/L models, or if all had them.

 

what do you know about that 2g upgrade IAN? ill be in the amrket for brakes in a couple weeks.

 

I do know that the 2G AWD has bigger brakes than the 2G FWD

 

The 92-96 Diamante, the 93-94 AWD, the 1g 3si, are the donor cars. The fittings on the 2g AWD brakes are different. Here's a good info page:
