I know this is really off subject, but how do you replace the stereo in a 99 Eclipse, I removed the front bezel and was looking at all the screws and it kinda looks like you have to remove the center console to get it out.......This is my first eclipse, I am more of a honda person......any help will be helpful. Pictures would help as well. Thnx.

 

The side plastic pieces pop off, look towards the center of the side plastic thing and you will see a button, pop that cap off and there will either be a screw of plastic plug thing and farther back on the piece towards the dash there should be a screw or plastic plug thing

 

on mine i dont have to remove the center console...take off the front bezel...then you should see 4 screws at each corner...unscrew them and pull holding both the rubber things on each side. Mine may be a little different, i need to replace the center console and the bezel because for some reason it never goes back on all way...but if you need to take off the entire center console...remove the bezel...then pop out the cup holders and unscrew the 2 screws there. then look towards the back you will have to fold your seats and scoot em all the way up...pop off the caps and unscrew, then remove the screws, lastly unscrew the shifter knob and pull up on the boot and take off the center console.
