are the o2 dumps really loud? whats your guys opinion on them?

 

Yes, they are loud.

 

They are loud and drown out the rest of the exhaust when it opens. Search DSMtuners.com there are some sound clips somewhere.

 

i have one bob and its load and makes you run very rich. but you can hear it over everything if your fully on it. cuts lag down a little also.

Thats because it is not even remotely true.
Nor does it effect spool up.

If you take a ride on a train, and when you get off the train your shoes are untied, that doesn't mean that trains untie shoes.

It very well could have been true that your car ran rich after you installed the o2 dump, but that doesn't mean that it caused it or it will cause it on anyone elses car.

 

The only things it might do is help eliminate boost creep and add a little power.

 

Just thing about what you are saying.
If you understand how a engine breathes then you would know that it is not going to make it run rich. if anything it would lean it out.
Also untill the wastegate opens it isnt using the 02 dump so how would having a 02 dump or not have anything to do with spool up?
If your car really did go rich with the addition of a 02 dump ONLY then there is something wrong with your car.


back to original question. If you have a dump on the 02 it will be loud.
if you have to dump off one of the exhaust manifold runners it is not that bad at all.
