Default warranty questions

Well, my friend jus bought a brand new EVO 8, and he wants to do BOV and all of those other nice mods to it, but when he called up the mitsu dealer about warranty, they told him that he couldn't do any mods to his motor whatsoever, not even a turbo timer. So i wanna know if this is just the dealer bullshittin or if it's true. My question being: Is it possible to do BOV, intake, exhaust, n other basic mods to the '05 EVO 8?? And if any1 does have an EVO 8 modded up and still under warranty please speak up. thanks

the dealer will not warranty a damn thing if they see anything that doesnt come from the factory on the car. if you mod it, you better keep the stock parts and replace them if you need to do warranty work.

yup. my friend has an evo8 mr, he changed the clutch, and he fell off warranty just because of that. and he only had like 5k miles on it, anything you do, will take you right off warranty. sux :/

My girlfriend has modded evo. We did boost gauge intake a bov so far, we are just going to put it back to stock when we take it in for service. THey arent going tolike look for it. If you want to keep your warranty i would suggest going no further than Bolt ons.
