where do u generally want the egt gauge to be at wot redline in 3rd gear on a farenheit gauge? 1500, 1600, etc, and this is on pump gas.

 

i would try to keep it around 1300-1400 at the top of third. thats where mine was at when i was at the track awhile back in my GSX.

EGT gauges do suck, but thats all i had when i had the GSX, along with a pocket logger setup and i ran perfectly fine!

 

egt gauges arent all that bad, hell i tuned my car on the egt and got close to 400whp, when i used the o2 sensor to tune i got another 20 or so whp out of it. for ppl who dont want to spend 400 for a wideband a good 150.00 egt gauge can do the trick for some proper tuning. my .02
