well i thought it would be a good idea to put a short air intake on my 1.8 eclipse cuz my stock intake pipe was cracked but i forgot about the damn sensor and it bogs out when ever I accelerate is there any way to get rid of the sensor and/or fix this problem. thanks for any help

Put the sensor back on it.

 

ya i know thats what i had to do to drive it but is there away to get rid of the 6inch long sensor? what does a after market intake do with the sensor? i left the sensor pluged into the air box and just put a cone on a pipe up closer to the Throttle Body and it still boged cuz there was no air running through it.

 

umm put a coupler on it so it fits on the intake.
why dont you just get the right intake tube for it.

 

ya but is there anyway to get rid of the MAF sensor cheaply ^.^

get a coupler from homedepot. end of story.
