i found a 96 eclipse verrrry clean and am thinking of buying it...

how are they? i dont know much about the eclipse... and is the 96 a 3rd gen?

please give me any feedback you have of the 96 eclipse

95-99 is a 2g, what model is it? rs gs gst gsx?

 

which is the better generation of eclipse?

that's 2nd gen rs version. the car has a 420a sohc motor.
rs=rally sport (base model 420a motor)
gs=gran sport (equiped model 420a motor)
gst=gran sport turbo (4g63 turbo motor)
gsx=gran sport awd (4g63 turbo motor w/ awd)

unless you're just using this car for a daily driver, get a gst or gsx

 

Judging by the picture its an RS aka really slow. I had one as my first car which only lasted for three months before it got totaled. In those three months i realized there wasnt much you could do with the car unless you went all out turbo kit which can run you upwards of 3grand so when it was gone i went straight for the GST it was a year older (95) but still way better than the RS. just my opinion because im sure some of the other non turbo guys will tell you something else. but if i were you i would go for a car that has little or no mods and is already turbo from the factory.

RS= Wide body neon.

 

bad isc. but other than that, running really good. took it to 26 psi today and ran like a champ.
