even worse of an idea then putting a turbo eclipse motor into an RS.

If theres going to be EVO 8 engine swapping, there is a nice list of cars that would be wayyyy better then putting into a car that already came turbo.

easy answer, do the research. if ya cant find anything that means you'd be the first to try it.. and that could mean a couple things.

evo engines spin the oppisite way of the 4g63 that we use, so that means the tranny has to come with, which means stop thinking about it, get a bowl of pasta and think about warm soft noodles sliding down your throat...

Are you talking about the Timing side of the motor being on the opposite side of the engine??

no he's not refering to that. means the engine internally spins opposite to the 4G63 from the 1Gs and 2Gs. which is why the tranny has to go with as well. otherwise youd have 5 gears of reverse, and 1 forward gear.

The evo8 engine turns the same direction as any 4g63. The tranny spins the opposite directions.

Mitusubishi purposley did this so that it cannot be easily swapped and so that you can't just go buy a motor and put it into another car....but if you want to then go ahead and try cause if you pull it off, i will give you mad props, but on the money your going to spend you might as well just go buy an evo....just my 2 cents

Just turbo your car. It'll be much cheaper.
