you might have a bad battery....do all the cheap stuff first....take ur battery to get tested at discount, and try it, then if it still clicks it's the starter, lol and if that doesnt work, ur motor is locked up.....BEEN THERE!

 

the battery is fine..the engine turns w/ a wrench (manually..so its not seized)..it didnt hydro-lock (checked that)....the only thing i can figure now is the ECU..

so i went today to get an ECU from a used parts place that i called to have a hold put on yesterday....i get there and they sold it already ..so if anyone has a good ECU or knows where i can get one for 420A engine, please let me know!

 

well...today i decided to put my old ECU back on the car along with new plugs and wires..to my surprise, the car actually attempted to crank....but after a quick pinging noise during the engine turning over..i took the spark plugs out...on cylinder one, my spark plug was beat to hell by the piston...so looks like i have a floating piston or a bearing is gone...

haha..ya...im not even gonna worry about fixing it..i dont have a place to do it (strict apartment rules about working on cars in lot), so im just going to buy a new vehicle with more room and more seating capacity...90% gonna get a scion xB so looks like i wont be in the racing boards anymore thanks for everyone's help

 

Not that it matters, but your talon is almost less of a performance vehicle than the xb is. But, theres plenty of people on here with worse cars, so that doesnt mean you have to leave.
