Trying???? I am a boosted 420A and it really didnt cost me any more than buying a GST.

Think about it this way, you buy a GST for "X" ammount and whats the 1st thing anyone does to upgrade?? Buy a better turbo, Change to a FMIC and piping instead of the stock SMIC, possibly port and polish the head, change injectors, change the plugs, up the boost and some other misc. things. Granted, That's pretty nice upgrading you've done, but in essence you have changed all the turbo parts on the "GST" to pretty much the same thing a person with some knowledge on the 420A (yes there are some stupid people with 420A's out there and its my personal agenda to bitch slap all of them into shape) can do for the same HP output and have spent less than buying a GST and upgrading.

I will say that a person with a 4G63T and the right knowledge and creativity, can beat the 420A group in HP if they know how to maximize the power efficiently. I know the stock 4G63T blocks can hold up to I think 500hp which is amazing to say the least However, if you get a dumbass (yes you 4G63 people have them too) who hasnt done anything special to the car and thinks their car is faster or better than a 420A properly that has been properly built and tuned just because its a GST, I can guarantee you the 420A will win. Thats my .02

You ask the question as if it can not be done. You must obviously take the path of least resistance, i.e. "the easy way out".

Wow, you're probably the first N/A person I respect on these boards. Anyways, how much "output" do you have right now and how much have you spent for both the car and the turbo kit...?

Yes and you didn't going with a GSX?

Btw I said "trying" because it's alot harder to get the same output out of the 420a than it is out of the 4g63t. In terms of time and money spent (even though time varies by experience of course).

I appreciate the comment and thanks for that.

Lets see, output on a 420A states about 140 hp stock (really its 110 whp). When I boosted @ 5- 6 psi and dynoed untuned (meaning no SAFC, boost controller, stock plugs and stock injectors) it was @ 153 whp and running a little lean. Did a little fine tuning with the SFMU/fuel recalibration and redynoed it got to 193whp and ran just a tad rich. After doing some tuning and adding the things I didnt have, I am running now...............

I'll just keep that one to myself
