Why would you need to put screws in your slicks? What wheel/tire combo are you using?

You don't need to screw your slicks. I used to run a solid mid 12's on a street trim maxima with road racing slicks and had no issues. Hell, guys run 9's on drag radials without doing anything speacial. Just start your tire pressure at 10 psi and drop from there till you find it hooks reasonably well. Don't deflate to far or you will hurt your time on the second half of the track. 8-10 psi should be were you play at.

On a seperate but still important note. Think you can check around your house for my rocker arms, injector, and clip; and get back to me this time?

yea I lowered the tire pressure when I was going to run the third pass but they didn't allow me to run so I didn't have the chance to see if it help any but I am going back and will run it with around 10psi this time and see what it runs... as for the parts everything was in the pass seat on the floor I will see if we might of left them here but I will check again.... and thanks for the advise.

I know why you put screws in slicks, thats not what I asked. I said why do YOU need to? There are plenty of DSM's into the 9s without screws in their tires and I don't even think shep is running screws in his tires and we know you are no where near him. I think your problems are elsewhere then spinning the tires on the rims.

Rob, those slicks are junk. They are dried out, and the sidewall is way too stiff. You need tires designed for fwd.

John. thanks for posting my times. hope sweet Z06 dont mozzie around in here.

no we found out what happen I had to much tire pressure in them we forgot that when you heat them up the tire pressure rises and we had them at 17 psi and when I heated them up they when up to like 28 psi thats what happen and when I lowered it to make another pass they didnt allow me too but I got on it when I was coming back and they were hooking better the side walls are soft it was the tire pressure that cause the issues. Lets get tune for 35psi I want to feel more boost lol..
