Question Walbro 255 HP Fuel Pump Install Questions

Do I need a fuel pressure regulator or an AFC to run the 255 hp fuel pump. Also is it a good idea to install it without rewiring? Trying to keep the fuel system upgrades cheap. So if I cannot use it what if I sell this one and get the 190, would that require any extra stuff?

Thanks in Advance,

Craig

you can install it without a FPR or an AFC, also installing it without a rewire kit wont hurt anything, just be prepared to hear a constant whine.....its an easy install... takes approx 1 hr if its your first time doing it.

It probably would be a good idea to re-wire but it seems like a lot of work. I hate wiring...

Might I suffer from rich idle or similar problems without a AFC or FPR using the HP 255? I'm thinking of just getting the 190lph, I'm not looking to MAX this engine out, I want to try and make it last. Anyway my clutch is only 2100 so you can tell my performance goals from that. I guess part of it is that the car is running so well right now I don't want to fuck it up AGAIN.

It's HP and I have the install kit. If I decide to sell it I'll let you know, it's still up in the air right now...
