my battery wont hold a charge. as i drive on the logger the bat voltages slowly go down un til they are too low for me to crank the car after i shut the car off. ... any ideas

 

New alternator

Got an external dump on that thing? Most likely it's frying your alt. I went through about 7 in a 3 week period.

I would still lean towards the alternator. Pull it out and take it to discount or autozone and they will be able to check it for you and tell you if its good or not. What TT do you have? I know the hks also has a voltmeter in it so you could charge the battery, start it up and watch what the volts do and that would also be a good sign.

 

Greddy has volt meter too, but your alternator is bad. Just drive with a spare battery, and dont drive at night, I did that in my amigo for months, youll be ok.

 

Just go buy a new one, they are only like 80bucks for the 75amp talon ones, galant ones are more expensive and 90amps

 

I have a talon alt. $30 its yours, works perfect no problems ever.

ok jazz.... it will be out but not ready to race... i still needs an alignment BAD, wheel bareings, and good hose clamps.
