thanks~ i see to have a lot more [visible] vacumm hoses and wires sprawled around my bay. maybe one of you anal retentive guys could give a few suggestions on how ya'll keep everything so crisp

 

im not doing anything specific, i just wanted to see how some ppl cleaned up there engine bays of wire and hoses

yes, that's eric's car. actually, that's a pic of it the day that i bought it. i originally put lots of the good stuff from eric's car on my talon (the 2nd pic), but now i'm building eric's car back up better than ever, reclaiming the parts that I put on my talon, and will be selling my talon as a mostly stock 6 bolt swap w/ a 14b and a couple of mods. for new mods i'm putting on eric's car, here's a list:
6 bolt w/ .20 over topline pistons & bs eliminator
ARP head studs
DSMLink
Eibach prokits
KYB AGX in the rear, GR2s in the front
KICS spacers on the front wheels
RX7 wheels all around w/ Nittos up front (trying to polish these with a dremel!)

Switching the 3" exhaust out for 2.5" DP w/ electric cutout
FJO Wideband O2
FAL slim fans

Setrab oil cooler w/ -10 AN lines

i'd expect for this setup to be up and running my the end of may. it is taking me so long b/c i found out that i'm having a baby girl, and other things have been taking up my time lately. after this setup is up and running well, my next mod is a Kaaz LSD. but the Kaaz is going to have to come AFTER I sell my talon.

 

get rid of them! seriously, if it doesn't do anything absolutely necessary, get rid of it. i don't have any of that emissions crap on the intake mani or carbon can thing in either of my cars

 

 

so, now your taking all the mods from the talon, and putting them back on the eclipse?

 

not ALL of them, but some of them (turbo, injectors, fmic, exhaust). many of the mods i listed above are things that i bought but never got around to putting on the talon. The talon will be up for sale as a mostly stock car with w/ a 6 bolt swap, 14b, ARP head studs, 2500# pressure plate, fuel pump, and maybe a couple of other goodies if someone wanted to pay a little extra. basically, it will have the fundamentals and is ready to strap on a bigger turbo if someone wanted to.

it is a LONG story, but i ran into some issues with my insurance co. that will be remedied once i'm driving the eclipse. there's nothing wrong w/ the talon other than the fact that my insurance company has its VIN and knows that it is modified (they won't insure modified cars). I actually like the talon better b/c it is black and i love the way the FMIC peaks out from under the "superman" bumper...not to mention the tan leather interior is MINT...but if i can't insure it, it doesnt do me any good.

 

it'll be nice to see Eric's car back up on the road... had many fun nights driving around town....
