Question Fuel Pump Installation...?

Okay DSM experts, I need a little help from you guys. I got this aftermaket Walbro Fuel Pump for my 2.0L 420A FWD 98' Eclipse and im having trouble trying to replace the old one. I've removed the back seat and took off the metal plate where the fuel pump is supposed to be and unpluged the harness that was plugged into it and when I lifted off the plate, I could see the gas and the gas tank. There is an old, rusted color, brownish looking fuel pump hanging from the bottom of the plate. Im guessing this is what needs to be replaced with my new Walbro fuel pump, the only thing is... how do I do it? The plug or harness isn't compatible with the Walbro one and im just confused as to what to do. Can anyone please help me??? Perhaps maybe there are a few more components or parts I am missing or need to buy for the installation but I really dont know. The instruction manual is so confusing to follow, I feel like I need some advice from you experts. Thanx. Feel free to PM me.

that sucks. That is also why I don't like to do anything myself. The last "success" I've had was installing my greddy bov without getting shavings in my intake. Anyone wanna make some money and put a Whalbro in my 2g AWD?

I thought you couldn't get your car started. I was thinking someone who's done this more than a couple times already. no offense of course.

non taken, but the whole disassembeling in the back seat and actually installing it correctly is what I can do but damn, I didn't know your car didn't start either! Well I put mine in no problem, its really easy. goat gave me a good site follow some simple step-by-step instructions TTT! But now my car just wont start! and YES, the interior lights do come on and the "beep beep" sound comes on when I stick the key in the ignition. The problem is im using one of those battery charger jump starts and when I turn the key to start the engine it dosent even crank over! All it does is go "pop pop pop" from under the hood. Sad huh? Then the lights come off and the beeping stops. I try to start the car again and not a a single noise or light comes out. My friend says I need a new battery b.c. my battery is really dead but some how, it looks new. An Everstart from Wal-Mart. Before, my friend came over and tried to jump start my car with the help from is car and my car actually cranked over! It never started up though b.c. it needed a new fuel pump and filter. Now I have the new Walbro pump and filter in the car replaced with the old, ugly, brown one but it diden't help b.c. my car still wont START! I get nothing! Oh well, looks like I need a little more help than I thought I did.

Just because it looks new doesnt mean its charged. Get a different battery, this car has been sitting for a long time hasnt it, if im thinking of the right one. If it turned over with a jump before, and has continued to sit without being charged more than likely you have a dead battery. I would start there.
