is the 4g63t fwd tranny the same as a 4g63 fwd??
and if so where can i buy one? my mechanic drove my car, now it grinds in second and third...

no the 4g63t tranny is way bigger then the n/a trans, for the simple fact that it needs to hold up to more force.

what year?? i have a 95 tranny that im going to trade jerry aka lancerman *hopefully* for a rebuild on my 99. so you might want to get with him even if you dont get the one im trading he should have some other ones

What else did your mechanic do, JUST drive it? No fluid change, nothing?

it's a 93 talon, he bolted up the downpipe and the snaped off a stud to the wastgate, he drilled it out, and welded a stud into it and took it for a drive, i got it back went to my work across the street and it was grinding in second gear. if i shift slow at a low rpm it really doesn't grind all that bad no fluid swap or anything

mine was doing the same thing in fourth gear. jerry said bent shift fork. do you think that in the process with the dp he might have accidentally done something to the tranny?

no he proubly got on it didnt know how to drive bring it to the mechanic AGAIN and ask what he did. if he welded the bolt onto the turbo housing it self it wont hold for long, you cant really weld cast unless you have special welding rods.

i know he got on it, and drove it. he said it was it was faster than his monte carlo. thats all he said. i got a deltaforce II external wastegate, there are two bolts that hold it on to the manifold one snaped off
