Hey people

Got a question.

Earlier today I let some guy test drive my car and now I hear this rattle when Im driving normally. You can hear it the most in third gear. Not flooring it or anything but just kinda stepping on the gas you hear the rattle, I don't know how to explain the rattle noise but Its annoying. Performance wise I dunno if its affecting it at all, but when I do get on it its like im not getting detonation or something and gas smell like crazy.....I think my mas is affecting that part but i dunno.

Any suggestions???

 

could be some crappy gas what octain you run where do you get your gas?

 

Maybe....i usually get my gas from shell. Premium unleaded

you could of just picked up some water inthe tank run it down fill it up at another station and see if it does it still.

 

Its hard to diagnose a sound over the net. Do you have any sound you can refer to? Is your performance changed at all? You said someone drove your car, did they change or mess with the afc at all? What is all of your mods, I see you have an exhaust, other than that is it all?

 

does your AC work my rattle was my compressor clutch slowly coming part, just an idea!

 

My ac works, but when I start the car in the morning it squeals like crazy. I don't think its the timing belt it might be the ac belt, because when I turn the ac on in the morning the squealing gets worse.

All the person did was just drive it. They kinda beat on it a little though

Does the sound sound like its coming from the transmission? Is it a loud noise or faint? Does the sound go away when you press the clutch? Try to tell us where its coming from.

 

Harmonic balance pulley seperating?

 

the ratteing is a danger to your manifold pressure and your passenger side floor pannel will fall out .....
