Question Tranny help please!!

Ok, I have what I hope isn't a serious problem. I just got home from driving around and everything seemed to be fine. I made a turn at a light and everything shifted and sounded fine. I stop at the next light and when I go to pull away (NOT getting on it) it seemed to kind of slip. The RPMs were going up but the car wasn't going very fast. It did it alittle in second but not as bad. The clutch didn't feel any different and it still went into gear with out a problem. Also I didn't smell the clutch burning or anything. When I got home there was no smell at all. The clutch piston is moving freely as well. Does anyone have ANY ideas what it could be? This is my only car and I JUST moved down to Florida a week ago. A few people said it sounds like it's slipping but I don't smell the clutch burning and it goes in and out of gear just fine. Does anyone know a good shop or someone that knows DSMs in the Tampa area to have look at it for me? Thanks

sounds like either a clutch master cylinder or a clutch is the pedal getting stiff.

Well I have a ACT 2600 clutch in it now so it's pretty stiff anyway. I didn't notice any difference in it though.

Maybe 25,000 miles. Thats what it sounds like to me too but, I never heard a clutch being fine at one light and slipping the next. Could that happen? Also wouldn't I have trouble changing gears?

ive been told by a few people our clutch only gets up about 30K miles. thats how long my last 2600 lasted. when mine went out, it was fine at one light, and slipped at the next.

sounds like a clutch espicially if you get on it and heat up the clutch and what ever is left on the clutch is just slipping i would go with a luk clutch for the price you cant beat it and they grip really good.

Thanks for the help everyone. I keep hearing good things about Jerry. Would he be able to look at it for me? How would I get a hold of him?
