I need a mechanic to check my car out. I live in the Seminole area and would like something local. Does anybody know of anyone that does quality work without ripping me off in price? I have a 95 GST thats running like shit and I need it fixed before I sell it.

Timing, a/f is off...car will start up and run but when i give it gas, it sounds like a go kart and it will constantly back fire. I'm leaving Wednesday on business and want it fixed by Saturday night when I get back. I just want the thing running so I can sell it

 

have you replaced you plug wires lately and put them in the wrong firing order?

 

I did replace them...There is a good chance they are in the wrong order. I had to put a new valve cover on and decided to replace the plugs as well. I was in a hury b/c it was starting to rain. I'm an idiot!! I'll check though.

Plugs were reversed, so I fixed that problem. But the car still runs like shit. When I give it gas it sounds like a go-kart and constantly back-fires. Any suggestions before I take it to a shop?

 

was it running ok before you changed plugs, what else have you done to the car. and when you say plugs were reversed, what exactly do you mean, it is a waste spark system what is your firing order?

 

I better check the firing order again when I get home. I had them wired wrong from the distributer previously. As far as stuff done: 1st gen BOV, upper intake pipe, K&N air filter. As you can see, it's pretty much bone stock. I'm running on Mobile1 syn.
