Default 2g gst problems

Now I haven't had my car looked at be an expert yet, but I figured I would ask some of you guys what you think. My problem seems to be in the transmition, when the car is being driven in any gear at any speed it almost seems like it wants to knock itself out of gear, you can see the shifter shaking and moving, and when I drive I hear it clicking as if the teeth on the gears are broke off. I would like to do this project myself as much as possible, so any intelligent input is helpful. I thank you ahead of time.

well it sounds to me like your going to need a tranny rebuild soon , also that noise your hearing could be your axle bearing going out on yours. My gen1 tranny went out its gonna cost $650 to rebuild.

OH AND FOR EVERYONE ELSE UNTIL I CAN FIND HOW TO SWITCH SCREEN NAMES THIS IS DSMTUNER HOAHHOAH!!!!!!!!

LOL, rebuild soon I need that shit now. She completely took a crap on me. Might anyone have any good websites to refer me to? Oh, also someone told me that it could possibly be the axle that all the gears are on. From what he says they are known for breaking. See because it does this in all gears.

naciamaj - where abouts are you located at? if you want, you can bring the car where im at and i can maybe diagnosis it a little better but it does sound like you are going to need a tranny rebuild. another problem could be the TOB or the clutch so we cant really say if its either/or at this time.

trk1991 - who quoted you on the $650? i think jerry(lancerman) might be able to do it for cheaper and everyone on here and TBDSM can vouch for his work. i too can vouch for him. you might want to look him up before you do anything.

I live in the Tampa area (over near Hyde Park), I wouldn't think it would be the clutch, for I bought a brand new clutch that I have probably only put about 20,000 miles or less.

The clutch can go out at anytime. It might be the TOB hitting itself against the flywheel. But anyways, I will be free on friday after 5pm. Just hit me up and I will take a look at it.

Seems like you also might have an engaugement problem. Like your transmission is not fully engauging in gears. Might want to check all transmission fluids, clutch line fluid and shifter cables. Might be something as simple as your clutch slave going out so it wont let you fully engauge.

i was just about to put that as well 4dr but you beat me to it. the same exact problem just happened with the BROTHERS car. the slave master cylinder went out and was making all sort of noise and wasnt letting the car into gear. you might just need to adjust the pedal on the floor like 4dr said. thats why i wanted to take a look before we diagnosis it.

Alright thankyou gentlemen, I will be sure to hit you up on friday when I get out of work LS1. And I will look at all those things. Yeah I actually stopped by Brothers work and talked to him about my car, I have been trying to contact him about some parts actually.
