Default Clutch

Hey guys, im doing the 6 bolt mod to my 97 gst. At the same time i figured i should replace the clutch.

I was interested in the 2600. Any suggestions/links to good deals. Are there any special requirements that i must have since im doing the 6 bolt mod?

Thanks.

i've got an act2600 w/ 6 month old disc for $225. I've got to pull it out of my project car though (nothing wrong w/ it, just putting many parts back to stock). PM me if you're interested.

you've got a 6 bolt flywheel, right? you can bolt up the 2600 just fine...no special requirements...but for the 6 bolt swap you need a 6 bolt fly. if you haven't already done so, you can take the fly to bay city clutch and they'll resurface/turn it for you real cheap. i did mine 2 weeks ago for like $25.

i still recommend the 2100 for a FWD that is not gonna be making stupid power, the 2600 just produces and un-necessarily heavy pedal, the 2100 will be easier on the leg, and hold more power than you'll ever make

You will be fine as TampaTsi said with the clutch they're the same for both 6bolts and 7bolts, but the flywheel you'll need to get a 6-bolt of course - where have you been anyways Aaron you post here less and less...

6 bolt flywheel

Jerry is gonna supply me with the rest and do all the labor. 1800 bucks. I guess thats not bad especially since i trust his work, unlike a random shop where who knows what corners they cut.

As for me not posting here anymore; my car is a fuck hole.
I'm completely unhappy with my car. Used to love it, but it feels like it's about to fall apart and now it looks like it's about to fall apart. It sucks....

I'm just trying to get this car back on track.

Would anybody mind coming and looking at my car for broken shit so i can figure out EVERYTHING that is wrong with it?

I appreciate any help guys, as usual. Thanks.

As for the offers on the clutches, i appreciate it guys but I'd rather not buy a used clutch. Thanks though.

Again thanks, and any help is appreciated.

i wouldn't spend $254.15 on a lightened fly at this point. i haven't found it necessary to do it on my car yet. there are so many other go fast parts that will get you more gains for $254.15 at this point...

$50 = used 6 bolt fly
$22 = resurface by bay city.
$72 = total.

that's $182 that you could be spending on something else to make your car go faster.

but then again, i'm not paying jerry's house payment for the next 3 months either. ...not that it is a bad thing
