Default Is this bad?

Just put on a boost controller, i was testing it out since it's manual and i had it too high and hit boost cut. Im wondering if it hurts the car when it hits boost cut or if it's just shutting down the engine? I've been told that it doesn't, i just want more opinions.
BTW I hit boost cut pretty hard in a 2nd gear pull, it sounded and felt pretty violent.

Let me know what you guys know what you guys think
thanx

EDIT: Wouldn't it feel more violent in lower gears? because in a 4th gear pull it hit boost cut and there wasn't really anything to it

Welcome to the world of boost. I'm sure your car is fine. They wouldn't put something on the stock ecu that would hurt the car. Just turn down the boost till you upgrade the ecu or get race gas and have fun.

No. You are all good. HItting boost cut is just a pre-cautionary measure, to make sure your car doesn't get screwed up.

i dont think it was boost cut that you hit. you may have hit fuel cut.

did it feel like you hit a brick wall? b/c if it did, then i think you hit fuel cut.

Ok well then i hit fuel cut from a 2nd pull and boost cut from a 4th pull. The fuel cut was a lot more violent than the boost cut. I guess that's about the same thing that's happening during boost cut, right? And yes, it did feel like it hit a brick wall
