where is a good place to get head work done around here without getting ripped?

remachining, and in tampa,fl by usf. i snapped my timing belt in my eclipse and i have to get my head remachined.

So you just want new valves put in.
I dont know about that area. I would guess any machine shop in the area could put new valves in. If you arent having and port work done i wouldnt be real overly conserned.

Does it need to be resurfaced? If not and all you need to do is valve shit do it on your own. Always good to learn something new.

clearwater cylinder head, on ulmerton road. they do good work and sometimes even same-day turnaround. they know about DSM heads and have ported them.

when the rod broke in our black talon, we took them the head w/o cams, caps, HLA's or followers and 2 new valves. they cleaned it, disassembled it, resurfaced it, lapped the new valves in and reassembled it. they had to remove all the valves to resurface it because the cutter head would have nicked the valves. our head was resurfaced like 2 or 3 times already, this was the last time possible. but it only cost $60 and we picked it up the same evening IIRC
