Angry Problems.. and wheel hop.

on my way for a drug test today for a new job i ran into some problems...My car died out while i was waiting in traffic....pulled into a parking lot after i finally got my car started and checked out everything and then checked the oil and there was none...this is wierd because i just got my head gasket and valve cover gasket replaced in August.....and i pulled out a plug cover and there was some oil on it.....My plugs i think are still good since i replaced those in august as well(bosch plat +4). I had this same problem once i had the valve cover gasket replaced and headgasket....the only thing is they forgot to put oil back in...someone told me my car was only running on 3 cylinders...i dont know what the problem could be....oh and no matter what i do i still get wheel hop...i got new tires and i cant figure out how to get rid of it....can anyone shed some light on my problems....because i really dont want to put my turbo kit on w/ a fcked up engine. And im really low on money right now.

who worked on your car? if they did the work in August, and your just now noticing you have no oil, your in serious trouble. As far as wheel hop goes, when are you getting wheel hop? cruising, trying to launch, need a little more info on this. If your crusing and your getting wheel hop, you either have a tire with a serious air bubble in it, you may have a very bent rim, or you have serious alignment issues.

As for the wheel hop, I get it when i try to launchi sit there and there is this god awful thumping noise coming from the left front wheel :\

HOnestly you need to take it to a good DSM mechanic. Asking people on the internet and trying to diagnose major car problems from a web board is NOT the way to deal with a DSM.

Just because you own an ECLIPSE RS(Not a dsm) since you have first started driving(which means you're still probably under 20) and it's probably your only car experience you have had your whole life doesnt mean you know how to deal with them. So like I said before, why don't you try taking it to a mechanic who actually knows what they are doing.

*edit* I don't mean to come off as a dick but that would be the right thing to do, but then again what do I know.

No i had a 91' talon tsi for my first car....now i have the 2gnt, and it is a DSM, and i cant afford a mechanic right now because im 19 living on my own. I will probably eventually take it to a mechanic I was just asking questions so maybe someone who has had the same prob could tell me so a mechanic doesnt Fck me over. thnks.
