I Need Help ...going Crazy
i put a 2g maf sensor in my 1g talon with the pipe and i got a k&n filter........after 3 minutes i had some kind of knocking going on inside the engine.....the guy that changed and rewire my sensor said it has nothing to do with the 2g maf sensor i got now.........well now my engine sounds like shlt and the noice its crazy ...like a blown engine the rpm go up to 4000 in 5fh gear and freeze ...that night i made it home but the car sounds even wrost now ...all i want to know is if the maf sensor or if he mix the wires when he was putting it, could make the engine sound like rods knocking or the timing its bad or somehing like that.
Man you keep getting nothing but bad luck with that car. Maybe it wanted to be a gvr4 in it's past life(only a gvr4 owner would get that joke)
What rpm's are you getting the knock at?
Do you still have your 1g maf? if so put it in and see if it still makes the noise. If it sounds like a "mechanical" knock then most likely it has nothing to do with your maf at all.

i turned the car on and u can hear it sometimes in neutral but if i press the gas the rpm go up slow ass hell and i hear my engine breaking apart ...thas only at 2500 i thing if i go up more ill have the pistons under the car.....i hear not only one rod knockiing sound now but like 20 different noices inside the block crazy....i dont know man...i just fix my car a week ago and now its gone again..........69000 miles on it..probably the cleanest 93 talon awd ull see around
Hey, where do you live. Maybe you can bring your POS over next to my POS and they can be POS together.... I have a datalogger maybe it will give you some clues... lifters could be causing your knock sensor to pickup faux knock and retard timing. At least thats what others have told me. Maybe you need to take it in??? dont tell anyone I said that.
