Default THE right way to get window tint off???

Need to take my window tint off. Getting it re-done darker. It will be Much cheaper if i can get it off myself. I heard detergent and razor... that simple?? Ive had trouble with that clear sticky residue left over from previous attempts..?

There's a solution they use, why not just have whoever is tinting it also remove it?

It cost 50 bucks to get that removed. I'd rather save the $50 and do it myself.
