why do you need a 2g eprom ecu if you plan on doing a "jdm 6bolt swap thats on the way"?

I am still going to be running the 2G ecu and everything else to make it thinks I have a 2g motor(just no worries about crankwalk). Therefore I need A 2G eprom ECU for DSM link. FWD sucks too. DSM link cant help with that though. I have a friend here with a 95 tsi with a 6 bolt swap and dsm link works great for him. So why would I have any probs???

I'd think with a 6bolt you would want a 6bolt ignition setup. That's what I would do...

Nope, no logger, I dont have anything right now besides a SAFC2 which i dont have hooked up right now. It is for sale BTW $225 shipped brand new in the box.
