Thumbs up Mitsubishi Cordia Turbo FMIC project….

Thanks to all that answered my questions during the FMIC project. The system is complete except for the install of the 1st Gen BOV. I asked if any of you knew of somebody here in town that did this kind of work, and you replied…. Thanks!! After doing the research and thinking it over, I decided to do it myself and was very pleased the way it came out even if I say so myself. Took all day Sunday, but not bad for a days work. I have to thank the wife who got me the welder for Christmas…… Thanks Ian for your help on the BOV questions. The intercooler made a “BIG” difference in performance. Maybe the Cordia and I will see you guys around town……
Thanks again,
USCordia

Looks like some kind of JDM mitsu intercooler off an early evo?

Glad everything worked out for you and that looks kick ass for a "newbie" taking a shot at it. Your wife seems like a keeper with a christmas present like that. Glad we all can be here to lend a helping hand.

Thanks for the "Nice" comments. Skillionaire, everything is for sale for the right price.... The guy I got the intercooler from had 2 on ebay at the same time. If I remember, I think he said they were from a isuzu truck or something like that. It was a little bigger then expected, but it worked. I had to weld up a bracket to hold the IC. Here is a pic. Its not pertty, but does the job...

Here is a shot from the other side of the engine bay. Wish the hood opened from front to back like a normal car, but it opens from back to front.

WOW. That looks like awesome work. I can't believe you belittled that bracket...it looks beautiful. You should seemy brackets. I'm not quite sure how your bracket holds up anything, though. Also, what is hanging out of your endtank...are you measuring temps in your intercooler?
