Default different size wheels

whats up , have a question on wheel sizes and affects upon center diff. I bought new rims 17s, now i ordered new tires but only got 2 of em , they told me i have to wait one more week for the other 2 to come. So i put the 2 new 17s on back but still have the stock 16s in front. Will this severely damage my center differential ? someone told me on awd that just having different wall size on tires can put lots of stress on center diff and can make it cease quick. Just want to know your opinion's on how fast and severe will having differents size wheels damage my center diff.

not necessarily

if the overall diameter of the 17" wheel/tire combo is the same as the old wheel/tire combo (which it should be so your speedo isnt fucked up w/ the new rims) then there would be no damage.

But if you have 17" wheels/tires that are taller than your old wheels/tires then yea... youd be so beyond fucked, you couldnt catch a bus back to "fucked"
