Can you? yes. Would anyone really recommend it, no. Read what all these people have posted. Save yourself the trouble and just do it right the first time. There are numerous paths to take with the turbo motor, all of which have been proven effective. Unless you like to spend lots of money and can custom fabricate get a turbo DSM and not a widebody neon.
I have a turboed 420a. Built motor and T3/T4 turbo kit. Wroth every penny.
If you owe money on it, just keep it and put in a junkyard motor unless you have a very serious commment to your car. If you wanna go fast cheap, buy a GST

i heard some good things about n/t moters and rebuilding them and runnig a good turbo kit so maby ill just look into that cus i really dont wanna git rid of it cus i put alot of time and money into it well thx on the answers ill check back later
good rule of thumb is spray more then you make on the motor...i've lived on that philosophy since i had nitrous 
and all those good things you heard, i bet they were from fellow nt owners with cold air intakes, altezzas and wings.
