try pbblaster to break the fuel line from the filter.

if it breaks, don't get a replacement fuel line, upgrade to AN lines. there is a great mitsu special on www.fuelinjectorclinic.com

+1 on PB-blaster, that will suck the chrome off a heavy chevy bumper.

+99,999,999,999 on PB_BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but to answer your question of what to do if you snap or twist the line...you can go to NAPA and they have high-pressure fuel line...you can use some inbetween the two pieces of hard line and use two worm clamps to one the end of each side (just make sure you clean up the jaggid hard lines and that you dont crush the lines with the clamps)...im pretty sure 5/16 will fit perfectly over the hard lines
