no , he means that evetually it can cause a o-ring to go bad or just fry a piston which happened to my bros 98 gst. also over boosting beyond stock fuel pump can take helped out lol

o-ring to go bad?

By dead cylinder I'm assuming he meant he just didnt get any spark due to the fouled plug.

Yea, dead cylinder due to not getting spark...Frying a piston from overboosting? That's practially impossible to do with a T-25, lol. The turbo itself would probably give out first before harming the engine .

God this is so beat to death. I doubt your car runs any faster or better with an atmosphere dump BOV, its surely the placebo effect. Put it back to how it should be, or invest in the proper electronics to run your car with an open BOV if its that important to you.

"Open Loop" and "Closed Loop" are generally terms reserved for ECU behavior.

There is one easy cheap part to buy that will let you run open atmosphere bov all you want. You guys are just going about it all wrong.

Yeah, it makes everyone that hears your car go by say 'ooooh that car has a turbo', which is the desired effect of 90% of the DSM owners out there I suppose. Other than that, it doesn't do shit.
