it will drop rpms in between shifts, and u may run rich at idle. U might not mind the few problems it will cause, but dont do it just to be a ricer because u want it to "sound cool". The type S sounds good even if its recirculated anyways.

Dude there is a search button on this message board. Why don't you learn how to use it. Every fuckin ricer who get's on here with a turbo asks this question within his first 10 posts.

Lol chill out almost every one of us has asked that question. You probably dont want to do it. It creates soooo many problems and all you get in return is a little bit of a sound increase. It will get louder with exhaust and intake if you dont already have that. You can also tweak with the little adjuster thingy on the top. Dont run it open. It runs like shit.

Exactly! So he should have used the search function that is put on TR for that exact purpose. It get's annoying when that's all you see on every other post ever other week from some kid who doesn't know the difference btwn a dsm and his ass who just bought a 2g and wants to have the "cool bov noise". So he goes out and buys a POS type-s and wants to run open atmosphere to be cool. It gets annoying to the people who actually have dsm's for a purpose. Not just to have a "dsm with a cool bov noise".

And I'm not really an asshole, just after seeing this probably 100 times it's one of my pet pieves.

So from what you stated here, there is no positive gain at all. You heard that it either hurts the car or doesn't hurt it. You said you didn't care about the sound, so why would you want to plug it up? I'm not being a dick, just curious if you knew there wasn't a benefit from this. Just keep the BOV recirculated as is. The GReddy is a pretty sweet sounding BOV on our cars.

BTW, are you still going to school for Pharmacy? Where do you go and what year are you in? You plan to become a Pharmacist? Pretty good career choice there.

Welcome to TR!

Good point, and no offense taken, i just wanted to know forsure just to satisfy my curiosity from hearing both sides. Yeah im gonna be a pharmacist im still doing the local college for now but after i get my aa from there im gonna goto UF for pharmacy school. They've got the 2nd best in the country, if you interested in that kind of thing i could probly get some names for you at the college for like classes you need GPA, tests, etc..

and i agree, the greddy bov does sounds awsome even tho its not atmospheric. thanx for the input
