Default ESi ----> TSi?

ok so here is what i have....a 97 talon ESi, a 95 talon TSi both FWD ESi manual, TSi automatic....what would it take to switch the motors in both...just essentially trade, and would they mate with the transmissions....would i have to swap the flywheels etc...etc...is this even possible...is this even practicle? the thing is i already have both cars the ESi is in WAAAAY better shape aesthetically (sp?) and it is manual.....i know this may sound like a newbie question but when it comes to DSM's i know all of jack schidt

You will have to practially re-do the whole subframe to switch engines. Its not something thats practical to do.

Whats up man, when did you get this Chris? The process that you're asking about is very costly and like psifactor said its not the most practical choice.

the esi transmission is nothing like the tsi one, EVERYTHING is completely different, IMO it's not practical, to answer your question.

Look into the Hahn or Star kits. The 420a can be pretty stout with a turbo kit, but not as capable as the 4g63t.
