well as some of you know we have been working on DJ truma's evo 8 at the shop and well we found an interesting problem with them....such as the transfer case's are crap after having the car for about a week it developed and bad whining from the transfer.... so we striped it down and sure enough it was the ring a pinion gear's....now for you AWD guy's you know this is kinda a hard part to kill the transfer can crap out but 9 times out of 10 the gears are ok...so as we did our reaserch we found this is a very common problem some people in the US having to change there case's 3 time's already!!!! there was a few case's that had to be changed as soon as 2500 mile's....now mitsu. is steping up and changing the case's but not saying they will last.....now what we are thinking of doing is building a new ring and pinion gear setup from hardend tool steel and cryoing....at this point we are trying to how many EVO owner's there are in the area and if there is an interest now it will be a matter of month's befor we can have these ready the price will be in the $1k range but anyway that's just a little bit of info and a head's up for you EVO owner's if you have any question you can just reply back or give a call to the shop the number is in my sig.

it's red I wont let him run anyone untill he get's a bigger turbo....it dose ok but anyway we will be hitting up the dimmit show in a month or so...but i will post pic's soon

It does have a bunch of pretty vacuum lines though.

 

ok I dont know how the rep got around about tony's car being in the 10's????but and it's a 16g not a 14g as far as the "800hp" gst once more for the book's the engine was built to take 800+ it's not producing 800hp with a 16g under the hood the reason I would like to clear that up is a few people are bosting about there car's after they leave the shop witch is great Im glad they like the work but at the same time it can give us a odd spin seeing as well 800 out of a 16g just isnt going to happen I just want to make it known that was out of the car owner's mouth not our's....we have been busting our ass's getting a good rep. so please understand we push our self's day in and day out to give our customer's the best posible work I realy dreed the that a few people bosting more than they have are giving us a questionable name so please dont judge by a few people judge by what's going on in the shop
Oya and I should have the dyno chart's up soon of one of the EVO's we have been working on it just went to boost solution's in atlanta to get the AEM tuned in so I will get more pics of the setup from the supra front mount to the fuel cell I cant wait untill it get's back to the shop monday for the test ride LOL!!!! hehehhehehehe!!!!

Those words came out of his own mouth at the track in front of many of us. He also said the car was near stock and on a stock turbo. Just listening to him talk would keep me away from that place. But like i said the vacuum lines are pretty.

P.S. Art dont take what i say as a insult towards you because its not meant that way, but Sidewinder and mostly the owner has a, lets say not so good name.

 

hmm well no hurt feeling's here man....was he talking about the new engine or the one that's in it??? the new deal is a built 2.4t but all in all you should stop in just to have a look around or just to bs but anyway Im glad to see that this hasnt turned into flamming war I realy have a lot of respect towrd you guy's for that other forum's that will remain nameless cough honda tech cough....turn into a flamfest over the color of a car....so once more I realy am glad that though this thread has chnged direction a bit it still has kept a civil talk

tony, and all the guys at sidewinder for that matter, have been great to/with me. Art's always helpful and I don't have anything negative to say about the shop. Jay's car (the 800hp gs-t) had me puzzled when i heard that number as well, but it didn't take long for me to figure out what he (i don't remember who said it) was trying to say. if anybody has seen the engine on stand and nitrous set up on that car, they can appreciate the shop's work.
