Default Need help from someone

I am thinking about buying this 2g gst I found looks like a good deal and all - just need to know that the car is in good condition mechanically etc - is there anyone here that has alot of experience with 2gs (someone who knows what potential problems to look for etc) ? This would be greatly appreciated if one of you guys could help me out - I would really need someone to help me check the car out - Thanks in advance.

get the compression checked.
if it is a 2g and doesn't have a 6 bolt, I'd have someone pull the oil pan and check for crankwalk.

other than that, just check the normal stuff

it's supposed to have a 6 bolt transplanted into it - so I know to make sure to check the oil pan to see whether that's the truth, other than that I would need to check to make sure that there's actually a big evo 3 16g in it - i was told the only way I can check and make sure it's a big 16g is open up the turbo and see if the compressor wheel INDUCER measures 1.903" if it measures that then its a EVO 16G

- so idk is there any other way (quicker way) to check that it's an evo 3 16g ?

Overall though I'd still feel more comfortable if someone that was well known in dsms would come with me...

yup, read up on the exh housing, if the turbo was kept together it'll look different then a reg 7cm housing.

yeah... b/c you would never be able to measure the inducer w/o takin alot of crap off, does he have a reciept or any proof of buying an evo 3 for it ? also check for oil leaks, have someone start the car and stand behind it, look and see if it's burning oil.
make sure the tranny shifts smooth, if it doesn't it most likely won't until you have it rebuilt. i bought my car in may 03 with a slight grind in 2nd gear which eventually led to not being able to use my 2nd gear by dec. then last month i finally had it rebuilt. lol
