And my other freind wants to sell me a 1gBOV for 30 bucks, what should i do, i am looking for mostly performance (holding more boost) but i am looking for that "move bitch its a turbo" sound... lol. you have to hear each, then see what you like...no matter which bov you choose, you're gonna want a different one in a short time, just the way it works... if you want a loud ass intimidation bov, get the RFL.

If you want a loud ass intimidation BOV, you are a ricer. How much MORE boost do you want to hold? The greddy typeS is a decent BOV for the money, and the 1g will get the job done if you are running moderate boost... 22lbs? How much boost they will hold varies depending on age/condition/crush. Upgrading to hard piping is always a plus, offer the guy 150.

I personally love the sound of a 1st gen crushed bov. I have the 1st gen crushed bov. I first bought a Greddy Type S it was actually quiet on my car. But because it broke i was forced to sell it and buy a knew bov. I Did however keep the hard piping from the greddy type s and i just drilled holes to flange to 1st gen. As of right now im pushing 21 psi when racing, holds very nicely. I would say 1st gen just because of the significant price difference. Each of these bov's hold about the same amnt of boost. Offer him 25 for the 1st gen unless its crushed then definately buy it for 30.

when you cut the dump tube it makes the stocker quieter....same thing happened to me. your car is fine. im another one for the type s, just a pref. but that price seems a bit high. you can find used ones all the time for around 100

I got my type s for 70 bucks. And i bought the Upper Intercooler piping for 20 bucks. It was flanged for 1st gen and type s. I would rather have the extra 120 bucks for other mods. The bov's do pretty much the same thing.... No i you cant flange to stock. You're goin to have to get upper intercooler piping. But either way the will increase air flow that much more.
