Default idle problem

i also posted this on TBDSM

my girl has a 98 RS that just recently started to idle real erraticly. i dont think its a vaccuum leak... and i went to autozone and they pulled a misfire code and a O2 code. i guess it could possibly be a TPS too...?

im not too fond of bringing her car to a dealer to test the sensors one by one and paying out the yinyang for that. i have a 98 GST and was going to swap out primary O2's and see if that fixed her problem. a new O2 from autozone is going to be 100 dollars... but if its not that, shes going to be pissed.

i also noticed that when the car is just sitting there idling, if you turn on the AC or just the fan, it drops down a bit... but only to about 1200-1500. the idle RPM's range from about 3200-2000 most of the time.

thanks in advance,
Bobby

my fucking 95 gst does the same thing and i need to find out what the fuck it is. mine used to only do it sometimes once it got warmed up but today it has been constant. 3000 rpm at idle and it drops down to 2600 with the a/c on. ive played with the idle set screw and it did nothing. im thinking the tps or the iac. i need help bad. cel is not on.

ISC-steper motor most likely if the rpm drop and rise constantrly. If they just stay high i have no idea.I do not think that CO2 sensor is same for rs and gst.
go to www.dsmtuners.com search the forum and u'll find a lot of info about idle.
