Default boost

i just recently installed my turbonetics mbc and it was running just fine. the other day i was driving and i noticed on the boost guage that it wasnt holding boost. it will peak then gradually drop off as i go higher into the rpms. i took the whole thing apart thinking there was a leak in one of the hoses and now im still left with the same problem????? any help would be great.

List more of your setup. Like skllionaire is saying, most likely your engine is using more air than your turbo can provide resulting in less boost pressure.

when it was working right it would have plenty of vac when i would disconnect it. now there is none. i just recently took out my walbro 255 fuel pump but i dont think that would have anything to do with it?

ya know i had this same problem on my laser, sometimes out of the blue, there would be no vacuum in the lines with the engine running!...mike even saw this, the guage stayed at 0 and didnt move, went to boost fine, but i think it was just something to do with where it got tapped into...also i was loosing boost too on the 14B...17psi around 4800, then slowly dropped off to 13 or so by 6k
