Default 4G64 Question?

Does anyone know anything about this motor? I know its the 2.4L, but any info on it would be appreciated.

There is alot on this subject. Probably a good page's worth and im tired... unless your in for building one or have a DSM.

4g64s were all SOHC motors except a 1994 Galant model which was DOHC, which people are coping the setup and making the motor turbo friendly, and putting them in place of 2.0L

think Chevy.... joe smoe has a 87 Camaro with a 305.... he wants a 350... motor is the same size physically, just the 350 is bigger and more power. same concept.

I have the whole car already with that motor. Just thinking if its good enough to turbo or would it be better off buying a 4g63T motor. Actually the motor is in an Expo minivan. Its still in the idea process until I get enough help. Oh and the car is a hand me down from my parents so its free.

its not a bad idea, im all for sleeper cars, but your going to have to gut the living hell out of it to get the weight down some. the extra torque doesnt hurt though

pretty much all the 4g63 stuff, like the manifold should bolt up. if it doesnt, i think a 4g63 head from a 6bolt fits perfectly, but i could be wrong, im not to knowledgeable in this area.

couldnt i just try and pick up a complete 4g63T motor, cuz this motor isnt all up to par. and would the 4g63 mount to the car without any serious modifications?

thanks for the website. i found this one as well while i was researching http://4g64.150m.com/turbo.html but i think it would be alot easier for me to just buy a 4g63 motor and swap it thatn having to buy all that stuff. So my main question is can the 4g63 fit in my car?
