Question Help! Just Installed Clutch, Cant Shift!

alright guys, i installed a exedy 3 puck with 6 springs and a pressure plate, I resurfaced my flywheel to .610 and used the alignment tool and got a new TOB. the clutch fork and pivot ball are both in good shape and they are now greased. I torqued everything and put it all back together...start car and half the pedal is play and then it gets firm at the end. i re-bled the system and adjusted the pedel under the dash. same thing. master cyl is WET but not leaking. its been wet for years. the slave is a little wet on the inside so i bought a new slave cyl. (im installing it sometime today) i couldnt find any noticeable leaks in the hydrualic system at all. once in a great while i can shift into 2-3-4 gears with the new clutch setup. car hasnt moved yet becuase i cant get it into first. i noticed when i took my slave off that i could push the clutch fork forward and backwords and it doesnt hit anything. i installed the clip to keep the tob in. but isnt it supposed to hit the pressure plate??? I really hope i can fix this problem without tearing the tranny out. someone help!! when car is off i can get into all gears fine.

does the clutch pedal have play where it feels like it's pushing the clutch, or is it play where it miiight be pushing the clutch? did you put tranny fluid back in the transmissoin?

i know the last part sounds stupid, but hey, you don't have to admit it. are you SURE the tob is in correctly and that everything is where it's supposed to be? did you pour in the right brake fluid?

i used dot 3 fluid and flushed it several times,, yes transmission has syn redline in it. i can push pedel halfway down until i feel noticable clutch feel, the feel its supposed to have but then it hits the floor to soon, so i belive i dont have enough room to disengage the clutch. the adjustment screw is as far as it can go into the master cyl now so i cant adjust anymore!

MY clutch fork moved forward and backwards from on end the other end of the tranny shell w/o hitting anything such as pressure plate, any suggestions why, (clutch fork was mint as was pivot ball when i put it in 3 days ago, also tob was facing correct way, maybe i installed the clip wrong??

the fork is supposed to hold the tob which engages the pressure plate, did you snap it in place onto the pivot ball? Did you install the shifter linkages properly?
