Default built gst blocks???

why do people normally ask for bulit GST blocks... maybe when you throw a belt and take it down to your buddy at the corner mechanic and he asks "why the fuck is the crank pully soo damn close to the fender?" and i tap the ignition a few times and the crank pully moves back in an inch... then he says "that aint right..." lemme try to describe the feeling... hold your breath for 5 minutes and jump in a pool with lead weights on your belt... well maybe its not that bad but FUCK i dont have the money for this shit...
so what do you all think, im planning on letting it sit and getting rides places because i really dont want to break down on the fucking side of the road... anyone who this has happened to or know how to go about getting a new block (Mike?) just let me know, i would really REALLY appreciate it.
and btw my car has a little over 7 thousand miles AND it's guess what year... NIENTY FUCKING SEVEN...
thanks chris

and just in case anyone asks... the thing clicked like crazy coming from the pully side when i let the clutch out... ive done a little bit of research tonight but i just would like to hear about what maybe some people on here have done... BUT some good news! since my car has only 7000 miles on it, it could still be under warrenty according to my book but i dont know how stock it has to be... someone on here w/ a stock 2g might get some money to go twords hooking their car up, from me that is to make my car stock...

Man, im sorry to hear about that man. Try anything to get it fixed, even if you have warrenty, research it. That sucks, hopefully it won't be down for that long. For 7000 miles, thats great and it sucks that it happened.

alright ive done a little bit of research on putting a 6 bolt into my car... exactly how much work is involved in the swap? timing increases and decreases? what kind of electrical things must be done? its just that i would like to KNOW that it wont happen again.
thanks,
Chris

i also found this sick ass web page for doing the 4g64 swap, extremely informative...
HTML Code:
http://4g64performance.com/2g_parts.htm
this would be so tight but what are the odds of finding that motor for a somewhat decent price ya know...
