I'm looking for a 1g auto turbo dsm.Anybody who finds me one gets $50 if i buy it.It has to run and be in decent shape.Pm me any finds and information regarding it.Please dont post if not helping.

Actually I know a few people that have the 2L n/a and they hold up pretty well to abuse. I have a buddy who has a 1g auto n/a 2L..it needs a tune up but I think he was looking into getting rid of it. I'll ask him for ya

 

Whats wrong with a DSM as a daily driver. I have two of them. They are both turbo and one is a Auto.

 

 

exactly.....you need two..ones going to break eventually. But from what I hear you have had some cars that run and dont ask for constant attention.

If I need a daily driver the current car would come no where close to my 1st pick. I don't need to spend all of my free time fixing stuff constantly and having it leave me stranded.
Who knows..maybe if I drove a DSM like a daily it wouldn't break...which is probably the case.

For a daily I would get some toyota or honda.

 

Actually i have three cars. I also have a 93 Z28. The 91 FWD auto i bought for my girlfriend. It is her daily driver.My 90 AWD i have had for over 2 1/2 yrs and it has never once left me stranded. I always look for cars that were well maintained and they have been good to me. I am also very anal with my maintenence. People that have problems with their cars are the ones who go by some $1000 POS and start modding it before doing all the maintenence first. There is one common denominator in those of us that have built fast DSM`s that dont brake down and its not luck.


As for a turbo AUTO, they are a nice car to drive. Not to mention fun. The car builds boost like right off the line. Oscar if you are ever out or at the track and i have mine there i`ll let you take it for a drive. It is basicaly stock but a 2.5in turbo back and a K&N. I need a set of 450cc injectors for it though. The 390`s suck.

 

Yea i heard about your girlfriends car.Wanna sell it?But besides the point its all about maintanance with dsms and how u drive them(high boost).When i aquire it all maintenance will be done.
