Why does everybody feel the need to make fun of the 420A whenever somebody with a 2g RS or GS has a question?

chill bro... you said it plainly, we are making fun of the motor, not you guys... honestly they suck; maybe you dont know this but by the end of your cars days you will know too... most everyone who knows anything about those motors will tell you this too... its not an attact on you or anyone else, its just that the motors just do not hold, maybe yours does... it might always but in most cases it doesnt and thats that.

I bought a rebuild kit from Howell Automotive for $1100, spent $150 on machine work, and then put it together myself.

These are just biased comments on something they no next to nothing about. Sorry to make that comment but it's true. I have never had ANY problems with my 420a, built or not. I have pushed all kind of nitrous and boost through it and its held together just fine.

If you want more info about the 420a visit www.2gnt.com. Or you can buy a 4g63 and hav eit crankwalk.

WOW.....Lots of tension in this thread. Anyway, dont fret. I have a 420a right now as well and it has not given me any problems being my daily driver with some "light" track time. Mine has 108XXX and it still hasnt given me any problems besides the usual leaks that everyone has had with a 420a or 4g63 at one time or another. Our cars are VERY HIGH MAINTAINANCE. I think the only other thing more high maintainance is Jessica Simpson. Anyway, just do what you feel is right for you and your car. In the long run you will be the one enjoying it.
