My brother just blew his engine, pistons completly destroyed ect, and need a new engine.

It is a 1990 2.0L DOHC 5 Speed N/A

No turbo motors sorry.

sorry dude, your not gunna have too much luck in this fourm... mostly everyone is turbo... i know for a fact alot of places like magic and kofers have those cars sitting around... regarless of what you may think. when i blew up my 2g n/a motor we found like 3 or 4... it will be alot easier to get an older 1g motor... we decided on my car to bore it out 30 over and rebuild everything, made it more expensive but i was alot happier...

Thanks, he is kind of disappointed, his first car, we rebiult the engine 500 miles ago,
Driving to Tampa and something happened, 3 valves went through the pistons, nice big holes everywhere pistons look like they have been shot at by an AK47.

On the other hand, how hard would it be to change over to the turbo engine?

changing isnt hard... but you need to know what your doing. I would sugest buying a NA motor. there is a shitload of NA 2.0L eclipses and talons down here in Bradenton Junkyards... even in cophers.
