Need help car keeps stalling

Default Need help car keeps stalling

Allright I have a 1998 Eclipse rs and it will sputter and stall the first time i start the car and then will run fine and then other times it will just sit there and sputter for about 5-10 mins before stalling and i can't just turn the car off and try starting it agian....for some reason it just needs to stall. I thought this was due to a weak fuel pump or dirty injectors..but i just found out i had an oil leak coming mostly from the oil pressure switch so i thought i was loosing oil pressure..well i replaced that but its still leaking oil and still stalling....has any one had a similar problem, or know what this might be?? I need help....thanks, jake.

you stupid ass, change the spark plugs and fuel filter, dont you know anything???? im just playing jake, you got it done on your own, thats the tight thing...

Yeah, like the 4g63 has a good rep for not breaking.




Have you changed check the fuel filter and spark plugs like Dizin suggested? Most likely that will fix your problem.

Cant think of anything on mine that broke that I didnt directly cause........

I think you'll find people have more problems with the 420A, I cant think of one person that owns a 420A and hasnt replaced the headgasket and many other parts.

on my 420A... man if you'll EVER want to feel better about your 4g63 motors being bad, ask me about my 420A...
but no i was saying, my buddy jake (lookingforapiece) thought about that shit completely on his own and did it and he is fairly new in the whole car world... i love my gst but i HOPE that me treaten her the way i do will keep it tight... kow

There is approximately 5 to 10 things that have not been replaced on my car within 2 years. Everything else has broke and then upgraded. I dont even want to think about everything that has been replaced within the last 3-6 months.... I guess thats what you get when you have a 13yr old car and try to make power with it.

Yeah it was just the fuel filter and spark plugs...i was stoked that i figured it out on my own....
