Default turbo...

Alright here is the deal. I have a stock 1999 3000GT. I am looking to do some work on it. I want to add a single turbocharger but dont really have aclue were to start. My friend suggested I come here so here I am. What kind of injectors, fuel system, etc would I need. Also what turbo do yo guys reccomend. He said something about a T78 is that a good choice or not?

So either Pm or drop it down here with what ya know or can help out with.

dont take this the wrong way but if you wanted a turbo model why didnt you get one. You desided on a style car that came turbo from the factory. You will end up spending more money in the long run trying to turbo the car you have and it will never be as good.

Its like four thousand just to put a greddy kit on there I think. Just my .02 cents.

Yeah yeah I know but insurance wasnt gonna be nice about the VR4 so this is the way I got to go about it.

Any ideas on which turbo to look at.

Includes - Twin Turbos, hoses oil lines and misc. hardware.


This is from Greddy's website...for the price, I wouldn't think its that bad at all. About 2 years ago, it was 2x more than that.

I think most here will share the sentiment that you have come to the wrong place to look for this information. Its not that we dont want to be helpful, but i dont think anyone here has done what you want to. You really need to find a specialized NT 3000GT forum and go from there. If you are thinking that a T78 might be the right turbo for you with little or no prior knowledge on the subject, Id say you have much reading and research to do. good luck
